This process – full-depth reclamation (FDR) – pulverizes an existing pavement and base materials, mixing the resulting mass with water and cement, and then repaving it as a base that can be finished with a concrete or asphalt overlay.

Asphalt sealcoating fills the surface voids, which reduces exposure to oxygen and UV rays and reduces the depth to which oil or gas can penetrate the asphalt. Sealcoating acts as a waterproofing agent, minimizing the rate at which water enters the asphalt.

Asphalt and Concrete have a gravel base. Both are made with stone and sand. The primary difference involves their adhesive materials. Asphalt is petroleum based while concrete is made of cement. Concrete lasts longer, but asphalt driveways are less expensive to install. Asphalt needs more maintenance but is generally easier to repair. Both concrete and asphalt driveways need solid foundations prepared by experts.

Construction of roads involves the paving, rehabilitation, and/or reclamation of degraded pavements in order to achieve a state of good repair and increase road traffic safety. Road construction involves the use of asphalt, liquid asphalt, concrete, soil stabilization, rebar, paving and pavement recycling machines, and other road repair materials.

Stabilization may increase the shear strength of a soil and control the shrink-swell properties of soil, thus improving the load bearing capacity of a sub-grade to support pavements and foundations.

Concrete curb and gutter is generally installed at the perimeter of a road or parking lot. Not only does it define the edges of the lot, but it actually holds the pavement in place and serves as a termination to keep the pavement from expanding and deteriorating.

Clearing is a crucial phase in any kind of land development. In preparation, the land site will need to be cleared before it is ready for development.
